Further information
The Coppo Nizza Tour is an opportunity to deepen your understanding of the newly established Nizza DOCG appellation through an exclusive wine tasting selection:
• Pomorosso Nizza DOCG
• Pontiselli Nizza DOCG
• Bric del Marchese Nizza DOCG
• Riserva della Famiglia Nizza Riserva DOCG
The Nizza DOCG designation was established in 2014, recognizing the excellence of Barbera grapes cultivated in this unique area. The Nizza DOCG territory is a picturesque hilly landscape located in the Monferrato region of northwestern Piedmont, characterized by limestone soils and a favorable climate. The Nizza wine is renowned for its intensity, elegance, and aging potential.
Exploring, affirming, and enhancing the expressive potential of Barbera has always been a defining feature of Coppo. Pomorosso, one of the most recognized wines, played a crucial role in relaunching the Barbera grape internationally since 1984.Coppo's Nizza vineyards are located in Agliano Terme, Castelnuovo Calcea, and Nizza Monferrato. Through a process of valorizing these three areas, the Nizza Riserva DOCG RdF was born in 1998, followed by the new Nizza DOCG wines from individual areas, Pontiselli and Bric del Marchese, in 2017.
